Our School Held the Graduation Ceremony of the 2011 VCE Class

On the morning of 9th Janurary, our school held the graduation ceromony of the 2011 VCE class at the amphitheater. Leaders of the City Education Bureau, guests from Australia, leaders and the mid-level leaders of our school, all the staffs, parents and students from the International Deparment attended the ceremony.

In the national anthem of China and Australia , the graduation ceremony began. First of all, Principle Jiang Qingsuo delivered a speech to all the graduating students. Principle Jiang looked back on the growing experience and the glory of the VCE students in the three years at school emotionally. He also gave the best wishes and sincere gratitute to the teachers and students who made the school proud. Pinciple expressed that the graduation of the first VCE cohort was the supreme glory to the school and it made a landmark in the development of the school. Principle Jiang hoped that the VCE students would continue to study hard and get great marks in foreign universities. He also addressed that the students should concern about the development of their mortherland and pay more attention to their parents. Principle Jiang asked the students to come back to visit their alma mater and teachers frequently and share the joy of the school development.

After the speeches dilivered by the leader of the City Education Bureau, Doctor Tom O’Connor from Thomas Carr, the student representative, the parent representative and the VCE teacher representative, students sent flowers to their teachers and gave a graduation souvenir to their alma mater so as to thank the school and the teachers for their guiding.

At last, Principle Jiang and all the guests awarded diplomas to the graduates and a video of their development in the three years was played.
On the ceremony,teachers and students of the first VCE class performed singing with guitar and zither ensemble playing which won warm applause from people present.

Under the hard work of the teachers and students, the first VCE class made a great achievement in the 2012 College Entrance Examination in Australia. All the graduating students gained such great results that all of them got admission qualifications to the A-level Australian universities, such as Melbourne University and Monash University. Student Han Zhenfei achieved the highest mark of ATAR 80.5 which was on top of the 20% of all the VCE students who attended the 2013 College Entrance Examination in Australia.
